Why go through the hassle of seeing a doctor to remove your warts when you can easily do it yourself at home? Although there are many simple yet effective wart remedies that get the job done, there is one particular remedy that is about as simple as it gets!In this article I will show you how to remove your warts by using duct tape.
Before I tell you how to remove warts with duct tape, gather up the following items:
Tape (this can be either medical, first-aid, duct tape or bandage)
Soap and water
Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton balls
Pumice stone or product with similar texture
Now for the easy part, this is how you remove a wart with duct tape:
1.Place your tape directly over the wart that you want to remove
2.Leave the tape on for 7 days straight. (Only remove the tape when you need to change it.)
3.After 7 days, remove the tape and soak your wart in soap and water.
4.Scrub your wart with pumice stone. This will help to exfoliate your skin and gets rid of at least a portion of the wart.
5.Sanitize your wart with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol.
6.Leave the bandage off for one day and repeat this process as necessary until your warts are completely gone!
Although simple, this process has been proven to have a high success rate. Many wart sufferers are thrilled to see their warts disappear in as little as 7 days without the need for painful freezing, or expensive natural herbs.

Should have everything totally wrapped up in a couple weeks. I also shot a video with my long-time friend Mark Hubbard. We came up with the concept over coffee one night, and then figured out a budget the budget always being whatever money I can personally spare at the time. In this case, I had $150. For location, I really wanted to shoot everything on the beach at night. I love the beach at night, and since that was a launching point for a lot of this record, it seemed appropriate. But it’s not real easy conditions to shoot a video. There was no natural light to speak of, and it was cold and windy and somewhat miserable. So most of our budget went to renting a generator to power lights, and to feeding everyone who volunteered to help. The costumes for the creatures ( we went a vague sort of sci-fi theme for this) were made out of wet suits, battery powered lights, duct tape and cut up sheets. How to remove a wart from my finger? Warts are very unsightly things and your finger is a part of your body that is constantly in the sights of others. Because of that, getting rid of the wart on your finger will probably be very high on your list of priorities.
So what exactly causes a wart to grow on your hand or fingers? They are caused by a virus known as human papilloma virus (HPV). There is no cure for this virus, but most people’s immune system will fight off this virus naturally.
How to remove a wart from my finger?
One natural method is by covering the wart with duct tape until it’s gone. The procedure is as such.
1. First you will cover the wart with the tape for approximately one week.
2. After one week, take off the tape and soak the finger in warm water for approximately 20 minutes.
3. Now that your skin has been softened by water, you will use a pumice stone or emery board to scrub the infected area. The abrasive rub and soften skin will allow parts of the warts to come off.
4. Approximately 12 hours after scrubbing, you will now reapply the tape to the infected finger and repeat the above process. Keep this up for up to approximately two months or sooner if you are fortunate enough to resolve the issue before that.
The above is a home remedy that has worked for many people. There are also other over the counter drugs that can be placed on infection as well. An even more extreme solution is getting it frozen off by your doctor.

Duct tape is durable and has a slew of uses. It is not like your ordinary tape that tears and snaps because it is made of fabric strengthened by resilient plastic backing and rubber adhesive. It sticks to practically everything and good for all sorts of repairs.
History
Duct tape wasn’t originally spelled as such at the start. Soldiers fighting in World War II needed a durable adhesive tape to fix their gears and keep water out of their ammo boxes. Duct tape was designed for that purpose in 1942 and was named “duck” tape because of its water-repellant properties.
After the war, this adhesive tape was used to seal up and repair heating ducts. From military green, its color was changed to silver and was thence referred to as “duct” tape.
Some Uses of Duct Tape At Home
o Use some brightly colored duct tapes to mark your suitcases to make it easy to recognize at the airport.
o Duct tapes can even remove warts. It will irritate and weaken the wart tissue and allow your immune system to destroy the growth.
o You can use it as a temporary seal on leaking pipes and joints under the sink or in the bathroom. It can be used as a temporary repair on zero-pressure drain lines. It mustn’t be a permanent plumbing fix on pressurized drain lines.
o A windy picnic day can be saved with a few strips of duct tape. Fold back the tablecloth and stick the strips of tape underneath the cloth and stick the other end of the tape over the edge and underneath the picnic table in different places.
o Use duct tape and a waterproof permanent marker to make long-lasting labels for books and boxes.
o Duct tapes can function as makeshift sticky notes on work sites to remind people of the next day’s activities.
o To stop a leaky garden hose, first use a rag to wipe it dry. Plug the break with a small piece of tape and proceed to double wrap the hose at an angle with a second piece.
o You can use duct tape to patch leather punctured or torn upholstery, heavy gym bags or bicycle seats. Just use a tape with a matching color. When covering furniture, it is important to overlap each strip of duct tape so they won’t break off when sat on.
o Duct tapes can be used to hold up babies’ diapers.
Automotive uses
o To repair a leaking radiator hose, allow the engine to cool down for a while. Antifreeze is very hot and you don’t want to get scalded. When the engine is cooled, make sure the hose is dry by wiping off any excess antifreeze. Cut off a length of duct tape and wrap it tightly around the puncture area twice. Fill the radiator once more with water and antifreeze and replace the radiator cap on loosely. Bring your car to the nearest mechanic. Don’t screw the cap back on too tight as pressure can build up and loosen the tape.
o Duct tapes are sold in different colors and can be used to patch an automobile seat.
o You can use duct tapes to “pimp up” your automobile seats by sticking a couple of different colored tapes across the seat’s back rest.

You need to understand the differences among moles, skin tags and warts. Despite some cosmetic similarities, these are all quite different conditions. As such a plantar wart treatment may be different from how a skin tag or mole would be handled. However, certain surgical techniques such as freezing, burning or excision (cutting it out) may be applied to all three by doctors.
Moles result when cells in the skin, called melanocytes, grow in a cluster with tissue surrounding them. Moles are a common condition and most people will have between 10 and 40 moles. They normally vary in color and can be flesh-colored, brown, pink or tan. What you need to be concerned about with moles is that skin cancer (melanoma) can begin in an existing mole or appear as a growth on the skin that may look like an unusual mole.
It is very important that before you try any form of over-the-counter or home remedy type mole treatment, you learn to identify unusual moles and, if you find any or discover any mole that seems odd or suspicious, have them checked medically. Advances in treatment of melanoma have led to an increasing percentage of very early stage detection when treatment is easiest and most successful. If you have a very large number of ordinary moles and/or any unusual moles (dysplastic nevi), then learning about early detection and seeking medical attention is extremely important. Don’t neglect it.
Skin tags (acrochordons) are usually small and generally harmless skin growths that most often occur after middle age. They actually stick out of the skin and may have a small and narrow stalk connecting the tag to the surface of the skin. Generally painless, skin tags do not grow or change though they can be irritated if they are rubbed by clothing or other materials. Though usually quite small, some may be up to a half inch long. They appear to be more common in people with diabetes or who are overweight.
Medically, there is no reason to remove skin tags unless they are cosmetically unattractive or become irritated. The usual medical procedures for removal are excision, freezing or burning them off. If however, there is a change in the appearance of a skin tag, seeing your medical practitioner is advisable.
Warts are usually painless skin growths caused by a virus. While mostly harmless they can be extremely unpleasant cosmetically and embarrassing and they can, occasionally, itch or hurt. Plantar warts which are those found on the soles of the feet can be particularly unpleasant because of repeated irritation caused by walking. They may become extremely painful and large numbers of plantar warts on the feet can even cause difficulty in walking as well as running.
Warts often go away on their own, though it can take up to two years which can seem like a very long time. Over-the-counter medications are often successful in removing warts. However, these treatments should definitely not be used on your face or on genital or anal warts. For other types of warts it may also help to actually file down the wart while it is damp before applying OTC medications.
In connection with plantar wart treatment you can also find bandage-like cushions which can help relieve pain and pressure.
Stronger medications are available by prescription and as with moles and skin tags, surgery (excision), freezing, burning or laser treatments can be used.
You may have heard about this interesting method for wart removal that’s known as the Duct Tape method. What you do is put a piece of duct tape over the wart for six days. Then take it off in the evening, wet the wart and scrape it down with a file. Put tape back on the next morning for another six days. You keep doing this until the wart disappears but not for more than 2 months. This method seems to work as well as having the warts medically frozen off.
While warts are contagious, getting infected from or infecting another person is infrequent. Still, avoiding contact with a wart on someone else is a good idea. If you file down a wart, be sure to wash the file carefully since you don’t want to spread the virus around – and don’t forget to wash your hands equally carefully after touching any of your own warts.
Warts are generally harmless, but you should seek medical assistance if:
* There are signs of infection or bleeding that can not be stopped easily by light pressure.
* Over-the-counter or other self-care remedies failed and you want it removed
* The wart is painful
* You have genital or anal warts
* You have diabetes or a weakened immune system
* Any changes in the color or appearance of the wart occur.
With this background and keeping the cautions in mind, you should be much better prepared to evaluate and decide on whichever form of mole, skin tag, wart or plantar wart treatment you want to pursue.

Pressure washers are not your daily average garden water hose. They are best treated and considered as work equipments and in category with the likes of a chainsaws, brush cutter and other commercial or industrial equipment that if mishandled or misused could lead to damage to properties or worse, injuries.
There are also a lot of things to consider when using pressure washers, like in the previous posts, there are categories (Residential, Commercial & Industrial) with regards to the use of the pressure washer and each category would require a different type of pressure washer according to power and feature variations (motor, pump, hose, trigger gun, unloader valve, wand or lance and wand tips type).
1. Use protective gear when operating the pressure washer (Goggles or Blast Shield, Gloves, Ear Plugs, Boots and Coveralls or Raincoat). If you will be working with chemicals, pesticides it’s also best to use a reliable mask (gas mask) to avoid inhaling toxic spray, and it is also best to use duct tape to seal the glove onto the sleeve to prevent fluid seeping in.
2. Before operating check every part of the pressure washer. Knowing what to check is also important.
a. Look for leaks in the pump. Check the oil level and or oil leaks for gas engine operated washers. For electric motors make sure there are no tears on the electrical cord and see to it that you avoid wet spots when using extension cords;
b. Check the hose for wear and tear which may be caused by frequent dragging on rough surfaces; also see to it that hose adapters are fastened tight to avoid slipping and detaching.
c. Ensure all inlet and outlet ports, nozzles, wands and spray tips are free from clogs, dirt or sand. Chances of propelling these minute objects at high pressure would result in serious damage or injury.
d. The most important part of the pressure washer’s safety feature is the trigger gun; so it is best to ensure it is working properly.
3. When operating the pressure washer’s motor, make sure that it is far enough from the place you are applying to avoid soaking the motor. Be sure also to use the appropriate model type for the job; units with electric motors are best for indoor application because it is much quiet and does not emit fumes. Remove light bulbs and seal off sockets and wall outlets before washing and; always operate the pressure washer on a level surface.
4. Do not point the nozzle to anyone. Do not use the maximum pressure when you start washing. Using this technique could result in damage. It is best to start lower and increasingly adjust the pressure needed to achieve the best result for the job. Start from the bottom and gradually increase as you go. Also make sure you use the right Spray Tips for the work.
5. It is best to have a buddy when operating the pressure washer on a ladder or ledge. Intense force while spraying would sometime result in some “kickback” and might cause you to lose balance; if no one is available to assist you, it is advisable to use a telescoping wand to be able to reach high surfaces or places.
6. It is best to clean the equipment after use. Run clean water through the system if you have used detergents, chemicals or pesticides to prevent corrosion in the pump, wand and trigger gun. It is also advisable to let the motor or engine cool before stowing it away.

For some time I’ve shared my brain with a loud, intolerable voice that I’ve wanted to quiet. It inhabited a place that I couldn’t access, and said things like ‘who are you trying to kid, you can’t do that’. ‘What’s the matter with you? You’re way out of your league’. The sad thing is that I often believed it. The voice sounded so confident, so self-assured, and it was persistent. When I first open my eyes in the morning, or when I tried to fall asleep at night, it reminded me of failures and defeats. I figured it had some inside information.
Three years ago, I started writing. The voice was just as loud and just as confident when it snickered at my newest endeavor. It directed me to sites on the Internet that pointed out the number of people who wrote books, and the number of people who published. It asked if I seriously believed I could write anything that another living being would want to read.
This chattering pessimist reminded me that the average writer trying for their first publication was about thirty years younger than my fifty-six years. Of course, it couldn’t let me forget that I’d barely made it through English classes in high school and college. I know it kept track of these things because this voice never forgot–anything.
Finally, I screamed, ‘SHUT UP’, surprising the voice as much as I did myself. It started again immediately, but I noticed it didn’t have quite as much steam. I screamed again and saw it weaken. I continued to yell to take away its power.
I’m sure many of you who are old hands at writing, still remember when your love affair began, and how powerful a relationship it was and still is. I’ve done a great deal in my life, but nothing has so quickly become a part of my being as creating people, places, and stories to share.
The voice remains packed in a box, wrapped in layers of duct tape to mute the discouraging words. It’s still ranting and might even be telling me I’ll never make it as a writer. I won’t listen. I can’t. I am a writer and the next voice you hear, could be mine.
